Congratulations to the following Record Breakers!
Ryan Hansen had a record-breaking performance at the North American Open Series 1 on March 2nd, 2024. His 123 kg snatch, 160 kg clean and jerk, and 283 kg total were all new records within the masters Men's 40-44 age group and 109 kg weight class. These records were previously held by Scott Baxter since April 13, 2024 when he snatched 101 kg, clean and jerked 130 kg, and totaled 231 kg at the National Masters Championships. The date discrepancy is because Scott submitted for the record first earlier this month.
Lou DiPetta broke the masters women’s 60-64 age group snatch record in the 71 kg weight class with a 37 kg lift at the Adirondack Regional Open on April 6th, 2024. This record was previously held by Victoria Ferreira since January 14th, 2023 when she snatched 36 kg at the Hudson Valley Winter Classic.
