2024 North American Open Finals Recap

Congratulations to the NY WSO athletes who represented New York at the North American Open Finals in Tucson, Arizona! We are incredibly proud of your dedication, hard work, and outstanding performances on this prestigious stage.⁣

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:⁣

𝗔𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 (U13W - 40): Three bronze medals for a 30 kg snatch, a 36 kg clean and jerk, and a 66 kg total.⁣

𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:⁣

⁣

𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗶𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶 (W35 - 81): Two bronze medals with a 98 kg clean and jerk and a 172 kg total.⁣

⁣

𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗻 (W40 - 87): Two gold medals with a 74 kg snatch and a 161 kg total, plus a silver medal for an 87 kg clean and jerk.⁣

⁣

𝗕𝗿𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘄 (M35 - 73): Gold medal with a 112 kg snatch.⁣

⁣

𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻 (M40 - 109+): Gold medal with a 125 kg snatch and two silver medals for a 140 kg clean and jerk and a 265 kg total.⁣

𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗰𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲 (M60 - 89): Two silver medals for a 60 kg snatch and a 148 kg total, plus a gold medal for an 88 kg clean and jerk.⁣

𝗧𝗲𝗱𝗱𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘇: 3rd place overall in the Military Masters Division with a 348.105 Sinclair score.⁣

𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻:⁣

𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗥𝗶𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼 (87): Two silver medals for a 102 kg snatch and a 128 kg clean and jerk, and a bronze medal for a 230 kg total.⁣

𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼 (61): Silver medal for a 100 kg snatch and a bronze medal with a 215 kg total.⁣

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘇 (73): Three gold medals with a 127 kg snatch, a 161 kg clean and jerk, and a 288 kg total. Marc is the North American Open Finals Champion in the Men’s 73 kg weight class!⁣

𝗚𝗿𝘆𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹: 6th place in the team competition, earning 32 points.⁣

⁣
